This looks like lemur smuggling but it isn't.

The Old Woman doesn't exactly raise her lemurs in a shoe but she does do it in a slipper and it looks like the lemur is just fine with that.

This baby ring-tailed lemur is safe from poachers and traffickers now and she wasn't at all safe in the wild, for multiple reasons (e.g. habitat loss, etc).
