"Poker Face" - Lady Gaga - Live at Orange Rockcorps

When music was all that was left to me, I discovered I didn't need anything else.

Sure it's pop rock.  She kills at it.

There's the perception that poverty makes you lonely, bitter, and mean but the reality doesn't fit those facts.

There's no racism down here.  We're all fucked and race doesn't even matter anymore.  When a black friend comes around, no-one says anything in this Hispanic neighborhood whereas in a white neighborhood he may get hassled for not belonging there.  The black man doesn't give a shit since the people in that neighborhood curtail their own freedom rather than his.  He's not likely to respect you much but he will just go somewhere else ... like here.

There's no money and no-one competes because that becomes irrelevant as well.

No-one is looking for any more than we have since we know it won't come and there's no point in pining.

There are many unseen benefits one will never know without living it.

Music really is all that's left but it was all that was ever necessary.
