Non-Cynical Concern about Barbara Bush and her Hospitalization

We're not going to trash her and actually appreciated some of her positions on things which the rest of her family did not support such as some aspects of equal rights, etc but those positions couldn't be too clear based on her family's political activity.

Bush was admitted to the hospital for coughing and maybe that's the same damn thing which is running around.  I've been going light on how hard it whacked Yevette and also myself because I didn't want the appearance of whining.  The Ten-Day-Monster seems to be the hit of the season and we fervently hope she gets better.

We have already completed coverage here of the Ten-Day-Monster as it backed down to the point of the drunkie at a party who doesn't know it's time to go home.  The ongoing observation is how infectious that nasty bastard turned out to be so I guess this one is 'that bug which is going around' for this year.

It's not flu but it will do its best to drown you and she's much older than anyone here so we're glad she is where she can get the help she needs.

Yah, this blows the image of the hateful satanic bastard but I'll accept that for now since the best wishes are sincere and we hope she gets well soon.

This isn't going to turn political but it did amuse me to hear Trump say he's a 'germophobe' and I'll give him a high five on that.  My only thought when someone shakes my hand is, gee, thanks; now I'll have to wash them again.  I am so completely seriously not kidding (larfs).

This thinking goes way back and it's the same thing as the DTA Principle in public toilets (i.e. Don't Touch Anything).  Tell me you don't do the same thing!

The Silas Theory with no known scientific backing whatsoever is we can't tell when people are infectious.  There's that period during which you're coming down with something and you feel a little strange but you're not sure.  The Silas Theory maintains during that time you're blowing out live virus like you're Old Faithful at Yellowstone.

Meanwhile, I have a ton of new science but that was just the first collection part.  There's another review to decide whether I really want to roll it since some of the science is so esoteric it really doesn't bring much except to other scientists.  That's not to denigrate the value of it but materials science probably won't - in one of my favorite expressions from "Good Morning, Vietnam" - ever blow your skirt up.

Today's mystery is I can easily remember all this trivial crap from movies (which I don't regard as trivial at all) but I can't remember the lyrics of songs to save my life at my hanging.

Back to the bugs ... the Silas Theory is we could easily stop colds from spreading by whacking anyone with the sniffles but we maintain possibly their most infectious time was before that.

We're sorry to hear Barbara Bush may be going through the same thing or something similar and we sincerely hope she gets better soon.
