When you have a crew which advocates for Bernie Sanders who specifically intends to move America toward peace and it switches to Hillary Clinton who aggressively promotes combat, you have people who can't be trusted to give you a straight answer on the weather. I'm actively pushing them out of my life. I can't trust them on something so fundamental so there's no reason to trust them on anything else.
Don't look for some Republican conversion as that didn't happen. For conflict, the Republican position is clear that America needs to go kill some motherfuckers to wipe out the threat, whatever its nature. That's what they believe and they're clear on it. They don't suddenly flip to say, wow, man, y'all want to get stoned and go to Woodstock.
Democrats typically want to defend the homeland but without aggressive military engagements elsewhere but, in the modern context, we have no idea what they will do. We can trust Republicans to be vicious, bloodthirsty marauders but at least they're consistent. We really can't trust Democrats to be anything. The Democrats have been the political equivalent of Where's Waldo.
There's been an astounding whitewash in-play for some while. Maybe you noticed a big-ticket production of "LBJ" which lauded Johnson's role in Civil Rights legislation but said nothing whatever of his role in the Gulf of Tonkin hoax which got so many US soldiers killed for nothing. Hollywood symps turn into cash-sucking drones and history can take a walk.
We have seen a similar whitewashing with Obama who is being lauded as, gee, he might have been the best President ever. Too bad he was the most violent Democrat in the fifty years since LBJ and he threw drone bombs around the world with much greater abandon even than George Bush. We assume that's the new Democrat Principle: if you make the killin' seem antiseptic then, baybeee, we are down with it.
George Carlin said it's all bullshit and it's bad for you. As always, the comedians are more truthful than anyone else we ever hear.
We were stunned by the betrayal of Barack Obama in terms of the prosecution of endless combat but now the entire Democratic Party has done it so we don't fookin' need them. When they can switch positions so effortlessly, that's not a political party but rather a bisexual clusterfuck.
How appropriate they do this in time for the Fourth of July because that day is such a glorious celebration for those who send people to war but it's never for those who had anything to do with it. We see what they do to VA every time we go out there and we don't believe a word others say with their flag-waving holidays. Their actions speak much louder than their flags.
The hell of it is my VA care is inadequate but it's better than MEDICARE because the latter is worth absolutely nothing if you don't have the money for the copays. That would work no better in any way whatsoever with private insurance because, see above, the people cannot afford the copays with them either. It's a hogwash illusion these people are protected and it's not fucking true.
That's not an exaggerated position regarding Democrats as it's not likely I will ever trust another of them on anything. I don't want any of them anywhere near me. I don't like what Republicans will do but at least I can rely on consistency. Modern Democrats play politics like they're on a slide at a water park.
