My current thinking is there is no specific sexual loading in the Scripture and second-rate preachers (i.e. 99% of them) did it. The things they say and the content of the Bible don't have much bearing on each other. Our favorite was the Sacramento preacher who said the Orlando shooter should have killed more gay people.
The Bible mentions the scourge of left-handedness far more than anything about homosexuality yet gay guys should be killed.
