Christians, Y'All Need to Housetrain Yer Dogs and Steven Anderson (video)

For the whining of Christian victims, you are not likely to find more of a weak-kneed wanker than Pastor Steven Anderson.  Voted today the Preacher Most Likely to Turn Up Outside a Gay Bar, Drunk and In the Gutter.  No-one cares this much about gay people unless that person has a major hunger for a premium penis.

(Ed:  or he never read the Bible!)

Good point.  No chance this evil monkey has ever seen a Bible.  His audience knows that (i.e. hardly anyone is there judging by the applause).

“But these people all should have been killed, anyway, but they should have been killed through the proper channels, as in they should have been executed by a righteous government that would have tried them, convicted them, and saw them executed. Because, in Leviticus 20:13, God’s perfect law, he put the death penalty on murder, and he also put the death penalty on homosexuality. That’s what the Bible says, plain and simple.”

That's the Old Testament, you simple fuck. Consider learning the material if you will call yourself a pastor.

He probably trolls gay bars already as, wtf, he's already got the beard.

The web page above gives a very good explanation of the condemnations to death in Leviticus. These were directed against the beliefs of sexual acts by pagans in their temples. Essentially, the temples of the pagans had become centers for religious rites that included prostitution of both female and males. During religious rites, they allowed otherwise unlawful sexual acts to be performed by their pagan believers. These acts were then under their pagan religion sanctioned by their gods (i.e. God of Fertility). This was a main source of income, along with the sale of idols, for maintaining the temples and the pagan religious leaders. Such acts along with the worship of idols was and still is very much against Jewish law. Therefore, in context with the times such acts by Jews were punishable by death.

James Michener covers this very well in 'The Source' which chronicles the development of mankind and intertwines such religious beliefs. The progress of mankind in terms of religious judgement is also very apparent between the Old and New Testaments. One of the main tenets of Christ was to allow for redemption of sin and expose such harsh judgements as wrong. Ironically, Christ himself was executed. While most Christian and Jewish sects still consider homosexuality and adultery (also punishable by death in Leviticus) as sins they are not punishable by death.

If this preacher wished to be consistent with his belief in the laws outlined in Leviticus, likely a much greater portion of his congregation would face the executioner for the act of adultery. UH UH

He's just one more way America disgraces itself on the world stage. People aren't even surprised by this kind of hatefulness in the country anymore. He's just one more reason living doesn't matter much. As long as it seems I'm in the company of animals like that I might as well be dead.
