The question was asked straight-up and it surprised me after Donald Trump has espoused an egregious level of racism only exceeded by the KKK subset of the GOP. Americans don't care about Mexicans but it would be a surprise if they did when America's conscience is floating in the Mediterranean and you see how much they do about it (i.e. nothing).
It's great to see insults from people who actually know the language as Americans rarely graduate beyond calling each other assholes or NAZIS. We still think Cheetos Jesus is the most inventive name for him and a Yank did come up with that one.
"The Ugly American" was a book from many years ago people going to Europe after that dreaded being perceived as such an odious creature ... but now the Ugly American is back, not that he's a surprise to anyone. He's been back for at least twelve years.
Some say this is a great time to buy British pounds but before doing that you might wish to think through just how much Englishers / Scots want to see you (i.e. they don't). The first wall to go up will be to keep Mexicans out of America and the next to go up will be to keep Americans out of anywhere else. You see the love Israel got for putting up its wall.
The trouble with that kind of racist snobbery is it's so amateurish as no-one can top Asians for snobbery, will not ever happen. "Oh, you Jewish? Is that like you Catholic?"
