#Photography for the Beautiful 8/12

Madrid, Spain

A couple in traditional chulapo dress stepping out during the San Lorenzo festival

It's a clever shot since we see the face on the wall behind them but we can't tell if he really gets it why we think they're beautiful.

Although it has the appearance of being military, it's not and quite a few might say the Arabian is the most beautiful horse in the world.

The Rockhouse always has a special place for Humans Doing Dumb Things.  We are sooooo good at it.

Negev, Israel

Whether you consider a Vincent van Gogh hot air balloon a thing of beauty is your call but it's so demented we kind of dig it.  He looks like some old actor after forty-eight face lifts.

South Queensferry, Scotland

Encased in burdock heads, the Burryman walks the streets bringing good luck to all he meets... as long as he’s fed whisky through a straw

Humans Doing Dumb Things and this time from Scotland and the dumb thing isn't the Burryman all covered in burdock heads; it's the people who give him whisky to encourage him.

Oh, good.  Now he's drunk.  That was clever.

Ed:  what's a Burryman?

No idea and, by the way, wtf is a burdock head.  Inquiring minds need to know.

Presto ...

There's a Burryman parade but the origin was so long ago no-one knows what it was.  I'm serious.  (WIKI:  The Burryman)

And we even found the burdock heads ...

Burrs are the hooked, sticky flowerheads of various species of burdock  (WIKI:  The Burryman)

This is only starting to get weird and the prudent traveler bails at this point.
