It Gets a Little Strange in the Land of Calabash Trees #Blotto

Disclaimer:  there are direct references to live cancer and there's no intention to shock but I understand the information can be painful to behold.  My thinking for offsetting that is the description has to be absolutely dispassionate so the writing doesn't cause any loading of possibly inaccurate impressions.  No-one will fault you if you bail.

The Land of the Calabash Trees isn't simply because I like the sound of the words and it may interest you to discover how the fruit of such trees can be used.  (WIKI:  Crescentia)

Zen Yogi:  you need some calabash, Brer Silas

Either that or more cowbell, Brer Yogi.

Zen Yogi:  what's this always with more cowbell?

It was just a cheesy way to mock Southern rock bands.  It was funny for a few times but not after a blue million repetitions.

Trip to VA was completed today to deliver samples for URI test for my lungs.  The bigger deal is it revealed the escalation since walking is just about gone due to need for more air and less pain.  That doesn't indicate an immediate situation but rather a constraint has significantly increased.  That's not a cause for panic nor bumout; it's just a drag.

The flip of that is I'll do relatively ok if I stay put and don't do a whole hell of a lot.  Fortunately, I am well-prepared for that due to years of study.

It's time to stand down from driving.  I ran a light on the way back from VA and I don't fucking run lights.  I did make a mistake quite a few years ago in TN but that wasn't the same thing.  It's never been my purpose to bust red lights for giggles or any other reason.  My position is unchanged that there is no such thing as an automobile accident since all are attributable to incompetence or mechanical failure.  Mistakes are not permissible, especially if someone could get dead, so it's time to hang up the keys.

Inspiration comes from my ol' Mother since she knew when the time had come to stop and she simply put the keys down then never mentioned it again.  She was one bad ass female.

Zen Yogi:  are you being bad ass, Silas?

I don't think it really counts for bad ass when I'm copying the moves from my ol' Mother, mate.

Zen Yogi:  camera on the light?

Yep.  Definite Silas pooch screw.

There's morphine in me all the time now so that takes the fault for the cause of the mistake but that's where it needs to stop since it doesn't matter how someone got dead after it's over.  I ain't takin' anything else to the grave and I damn sure do not want to take that.

I must call Miss Rita on Tuesday since the morphine situation needs to be formalized and ...

Zen Yogi:  you're just winging this?

I thought that much was obvious, Yogi.  The morphine is pharmaceutical quality from legal script ... but not my script.  Due to the general circumstance, no nark would bust me but it still needs to be tidier for multiple reasons.  I'll need to go out there again but that's a bitch, as above.

Zen Yogi:  drive around to the other side of the fucking building, Silas!

That dawned when it was time to walk back from the lab and the oh yeah epiphany came.  It won't be me driving, tho, Yogi.  Once that rule is set it can't be reverted.  There's not even a tiny problem with it more than pshaw, I guess that one is out, but at least I get to backseat drive Yevette now.

There were nasties in the Comments and I stopped reading them.  There's been some kind of bad vibe ever since coming back from Scotland and I have no idea why that changed.  The details of that are now meaningless and the immediate interest is to say again all family is welcome and this isn't to save my soul but it may save your own.

Q.  how can your cheesy crackpot religion save me?
A.  it can't but you can use your own to save yourself since there will be no hexes coming out of this although you're welcome to a Silas Scarborough tour shirt, albeit heavily-used.  It's a one-time opportunity to let the demons go and, apart from transportation, it's free.

If you have any bad vibe going into this, it won't get any better on the other side and that's what I seek to prevent.  You won't find torment here but you will find happiness and that much I can promise.

Look at the bright side since maybe we can do a Reading of the Will and that's some funny shit.

I'm not looking at any time to say goodbye but rather long overdue hellos.

Is it difficult to accept the fact I like you.  We hardly ever hear people say that but there's Likey, Likey all over social networks.  However, they don't say I like you; they say I like something you posted or some such.  When I have liked you all my life, it's not even logical to change.

The best possible outcome from any visit is that not you get all weepy, weepy or hurt in any other way but instead are smiling.  The situation sucks but the vibe doesn't.  That much I believe I have covered.

Zen Yogi:  what about love, Silas?

When love means I never want harm nor pain nor loss to ever come to them it's the same thing, Yogi.

I regret there is no alcohol for a pleasant, adult beverage but there is some possibility of vodka since Yevette needs it for something or other which has nothing to do with drinking.  There's not likely much to be done to improve that situation and I'm not much of a host to suggest BYOB but that's almost certainly your best option.

I do suggest you hold back on getting hammered since it's way too Vonnegut to crack up on the way back to the airport so it croaks you.  The situation is real and Vonnegut's situation is much better as something to read ... which is also real but to some poor bastard somewhere else.

The autoplay videos on Web sites have to go or I do.  That's dark but I have reasonable confidence the autoplay videos will disappear in time for me to see it happen.  Apple will release High Sierra for desktop computers and laptops and that one destroys autoplay videos so hard they won't even start.  Immediately the second-most irritating aspect of news Web pages gets eliminated and yahoo for that. October may be pushing it.

Zen Yogi:  what's the first most irritating about Web sites?

The bullshit content, mate.  My favorite is let's impeach Trump but they treat the matter like "American Idol" and if y'all just keep calling this number, yessirree, we can get him impeached.

Zen Yogi:  whole lotta jabberwockys out there

You bet, bear buddy.  The Regulars have it happening, tho, Yogi, since wading through my malarkey over years takes a definite measure of advanced hiking ability.  Only 25K more to hit a million and ain't that a thing.

Zen Yogi:  what thing, Silas?

I have no idea, Yogi, but it will be one ... whatever it is.  That's possibly in 25 days if I don't turn into a slacker.  Must keep producing.

Zen Yogi:  by all means, continue producing

I know you're being funny but that's right ... by all means.
