Hope Floats Just Fine and Birdee Finds Happiness

Yevette said out loud that "Hope Floats" is really a tearjerker but it's been a Rockhouse favorite for years.  The general story shows Birdee being bushwhacked and humiliated on a national TV show.  That sent her to the bottom and she returned from her Chicago high life to the small Texas town where she grow up.  She had always dazzled people with her beauty and her style but some high school relationships leave life-time hurts.  Birdee has to reintegrate herself into the town and that's tough when some aren't so thrilled to see her.

The casting was perfect for the movie since everyone should have a grandma like Gena Rowlands and the last scene with her is what put Yevette away.  Harry Connick Jr was a wonderful leading man and perfect to start making another life

The photography is marvelous and presents a number of scenes which bring the beauty of the rural environment beautiful right up to you, putting you.  It's lovely work.

"In Need" is one of the earlier songs in the movie and it's almost haunting.

Note:   I did not see any authors for "In Seed" so Sheryl Crow is the one.

The situation is extraordinary since there's been a generally cool vibe throughout the evening and so much so that Yevette and I could kick back and watch it all the way through.  I couldn't even manage more than a ffew minutes due to intensity since that's been overwhelming.

It looks like I'm starting to be able to maintain with nausea under control to low.  Even with significantly heavier doses, I can hack it.  I'm definitely wasted in a big way but that aspect is like the way.

The ganja's play in this has bedlam has been so much less than I might have guessed given all the hype about medical marijuana and its value in palliative relief (i.e. reducs pain that doesn't bring a cure).

It's a most unusual set when I'm so wasted and can barely walk but there's not be anything overtly destructive to cognition.  This situation goes to a blessing and I know people use the word in different ways within different frames of reference.  Any spiritual reference will likely be the same, regardl

The end result was staying awake far longer than I could manage yesterday. This is is the closest it's been to a good night so far ... and the movie was, as usual, wonderful; watching it with Yevette made it all the more so
