There's Fast and Then There's Fast at Le Mans

Onboard with a Porsche 919 turning what's said to be the fastest lap ever.

We go on board with the 2007-2008 A1 Grand Prix winner, Neel Jani, who set the fastest ever time around La Sarthe in the incredible Porsche 919 at Le Mans 2015!

Porsche 919

It's got that Porsche whine and turbobrains will likely know what does it but the Rockhouse is pleased to sit in amazement.

Formula 1 is bad ass but these cars can do it for twenty-four continuous hours and F1 would blow into a million pieces if it tried that.  Unknown about speed / performance differentials for F1 vs GT but I suspect they're not far different.  Either way, it's the top of the line.

That little difference is why F1 is for 70 minutes. Also why the 919 runs slower in race trim than qualifying trim.
I personally like LeMans cars more as they have a beauty to them at F1 can't quite match. But that is my own body style bias. Some like blondes some like redheads at the end of the day they are both beautiful

No argument on the beauty and F1 does look beautiful but not like that. Part of it may be the ironman aspect in running twenty-four hours but I don't think so. The Le Mans cars look gorgeous just sitting there.
