Stylin' in Ajmer, India

Ajmer, India

A woman carries earthen pots to be filled with drinking water on a hot summer day in Rajasthan

Of course it's completely horrible she has to walk anywhere to fetch her water but I bet she's in better shape than you, ducks.

Her back is straight and she walks tall.  Her form is charming and compelling with her head covering-up thing camouflaging that in no way whatsoever.

She's strong too since water weighs ten pounds per gallon and those pots look like maybe they could hold ten gallons, at least five.  She's going to hike back home hefting fifty to one hundred pounds on each arm.  Oh, yeah, you bet she's strong.

Note:  that's not grandstanding about the weight of water since anyone who screwed around with aquaria knows definitely the weight of water and that's important unless you don't mind the tank breaking through to the floor below it.

Whoa, whoa ... maybe she balances the pots on her head.  Carrying a hundred or so pounds that way will definitely keep your back straight ... or turn it into a pretzel.

Let's see ... she almost certainly does not smoke and she probably does not drink.  This woman may even be healthier than any of us on our best day.

Ed:  are you admiring poverty?

I live it although nowhere near as badly as her and there are some parts which do not suck.  The only point is nothing is so simple one glance is enough.
