The Compound Failure of Donald Trump Continues as The Wall Crumbles

You cannot possibly buy more political comedy than when Donald Trump has been making a caricature of the Presidency since his first day.

Ed:  just as Obama and Clinton were caricatures of Democrats?

Roger that.  It would be better if we got competent leaders but Americans don't show evidence of wanting them.

The beauty part of Trump's latest fail is it moves him up to the Humpty Dumpty class but he didn't even get that part right since rather than Humpty Dumpty falling off the wall, this Dumpty's wall fell instead while Humpty said, "Oh, sure.  I meant to do that."

There's one saving grace to this since backing away from that stupid and ill-advised project rather than shutting down the government at least shows he's not such a simple-minded fool as Cruz who relished doing it.

Note:  I just think of him as Brylcreem Boy and can never remember that estimable little fellow's first name.  When you even look greasy, it may be time to reevaluate your life as a politician.

As a possible government shutdown approaches, President Donald Trump has walked back previous demands that funding for a border wall be included in the upcoming spending bill, saying he can postpone that until September.

In a private meeting Monday, Trump informed around 20 reporters that he would be willing to compromise in order to avoid a government shutdown, according to the Associated Press.

In non-Washington English, the wall is a dumb ass idea and now it's a dead dumb ass idea.  Nothing will happen in September any more than it happens now.  Maybe the Republichippies should've taken a look at George Bush's feeble efforts to build a wall with Mexico ... which also failed.

If they're not endlessly repeating themselves, Republicans just don't have an act since they never bring anything new and it's pitiful watching them clinging so desperately to a past which is gone and won't come back.

There are probably few things falling apart faster than the automobile industry and Trump has fallen back on the popular standard of bribing them to stay with tax incentives.  (RT:  First in decades: $95mn auto part plant breaks ground in Detroit)

There are few things which better exemplify Donald Trump's aggressive race to the past since the roads are gridlocked now so what fun do you expect from them in twenty years.
