Avatar's Got Talent: High Fidelity Talent Show With $1000 Cash Prize

How's this for Second Life breakin' bad or breakin' something and for a thousand smackers as in cash moolahrooneys.  (New World Notes:  Avatar's Got Talent: High Fidelity Talent Show With $1000 Cash Prize)

Do you think your avatar can dance (or do any other fantastic feat)? High Fidelity is sponsoring an avatar talent show, with a $1000 real dollar cash prize for the best contestant.

"Whoever can do the coolest three minute act on April 21, no restrictions, with the audience voting live for the winner there in-world," HiFi founder Philip Rosedale tells me. "If it's fun we'll do it recurring, with bigger prizes.  Seems like a great thing to test and a good use of VR."

To help inspire some ideas for your act, High Fidelity's Thomas Schofield sent me the sample video above.  Be sure to watch around :30 for some Batman-looking dude juggling.

Ed:  you ought to roll out the Silas "Wild Thing" again

Wild thing
you make my pickle ring
you ..

I don't think they're going to dig that, mate.  It was big fun doing that at one time but they would burn me for it today.  Everybody got a bad case of Jerry Falwell or some such.

It's obscene!  It's obscene!

Well, I really don't see how obscene anything could possibly be when it's some guy playing a guitar and croaking out your favorite trigger words.

Would you like me just a little
most of all, just like my pickle

It's an offense against God!

Lighten up.  What the hell else can you do with a cucumber anyway.

Ed:  you're right.  The Silas "Wild Thing" may not be the answer to the thousand dollars.
