Day Eight of the Six-Day-Monster - Updated with More Turtles

There's no melodrama in a cold and it's a distinct possibility there has never been any kind of drama in a cold ever in human history.

There is still much anticipation for the Bath of Ritual Purification but not yet.  As with the Lotho Principle, if I can move then I will so there was a trip to the market.  That went generally ok but hefting that stuff into the house finished this one.  Yevette saw the result and said she will get the rest of it.

I conclude the Six-Day-Monster is not entirely finished with my wretched ass yet.

That sucks but I do have a turtle for you.

All that color seems like it would just make it fish bait but it blends fairly well with a multi-colored bottom so maybe it's not such easy prey after all.

If you squish a turtle by running it over with your car, don't be going around Lotho's family because they will definitely stop their vehicles to save turtles.  As always, be careful of the ones with the ridge down the middle of the shell since those are the snapping turtles and their necks can reach far enough back to let them bite if you try to pick them up.  Instead, use your feet to slide them off the road.

That's Turtle Gospel from Lotho and heed it to whatever extent you will based on the value you place on your fingers.

Saving turtles will hook you quickly since it's easy and it's a great buzz.  You will see them on Tennessee country roads so you just need to keep your eyes open for them.  They're two-lane roads so pulling over is easy.  No-one will see your save but the turtle will know.

The reason the turtle will be crossing the road is he's looking for love because turtles get kind of randy in the Spring.

Ed:  so I would be helping Turtle Romeo find Turtle Juliet?

Indubitably.

Update:

There was a question in comments about Photoshop since this turtle is so beauteous maybe it isn't real.  I don't know for sure since I didn't shoot the pic so I looked for some more.

This one is a Hawksbill

There's quite a bit of resemblance and there's some patterning in the shell but it doesn't seem the drama of the top one.

This one must be a Hawksbill as well and it shows quite a bit of the effect of the one in question but the picture is not such good quality.

This looks like it must also be a Hawksbill and it's the same situation which we can see the similar pattern but the picture isn't so good.

The picture in question has such sharp focus, whomever shot it must have been using some fancy kit and that probably means the image got some post-processing.  It doesn't seem the saturation was boosted or the surrounding life would have been boosted as well unless the photographer was clever enough to mask it which could easily be true.

I'll go with highly-credible as some kind of Hawksbill sea turtle on it.

Sure seems like there is photo trickery to make that turtle look so beautiful.
He/She looks like a Hawksbill but that shell is other wordly

I promise I didn't. I'm curious if I can find another one on Google by chasing down pictures of pretty sea turtles or some such. Here goes.

It might be a green sea turtle, genus Chelonia. Hawksbill looks like a strong contender too.

It looks as if it's got a light from within the shell! Wow!!

She's such a beauty, isn't she!

You know, usually in animals, the male is the pretty one so maybe it's a he (larfs).
