‘Are You All Washington Lackeys?’ - Fanny Ardant

There was a so-called hack of C-SPAN yesterday in which coverage from Russia Today replaced the C-SPAN signal for nine or ten minutes.  Almost immediately, every one of the lackeys on Twitter and Facebook was screaming again, "The Russians are coming; the Russians are coming!"

C-SPAN said that the incident was the result of an “internal routing error,” but not before dozens of media outlets reported that the channel may have been “hacked,” and made links to recent mentions of RT in the ODNI report on Russia’s influence in the past US presidential election. Congresswoman Maxine Waters, who was addressing the House of Representatives when the 10-minute interruption occurred also called the incident “odd” and “strange.”

Fanny Ardant is a famous actress in France and she had her views on the absurdity of the incessant charges of hacking.

Thankfully, French celebrities are not as spineless as the George Clooney variety.

I know you're fed-up with it and so am I.  Face it, we're all Gamora (Zoe Saldana) from "Guardians of the Galaxy" when she observed, "I'm surrounded by idiots."

We can't reason with them and we can't shoot them so, deal with it, we're surrounded by idiots.  Obviously the esteemed readers of this noble forum are not idiots or you would not be here and ...

Ed:  are you familiar with the term 'self-aggrandizing fucktard?'

That sounds like a good one.

Ed:  you did not answer the question!

I don't need to answer it.  You're still reading.

Here's one more example of the mania and this one is really strange.  There were many, many reports early this morning regarding an explosion and fire at a Greyhound bus terminal in Detroit.  There were reports the roof of the terminal had collapsed so, you get the idea, it was a big fire.  If you listen for that story now, you will hear nothing but crickets and here's an example of one of the two news sources which carried it earlier with the other being Reuters.  (RT:  Reports of explosion, fire at DDOT bus terminal in Detroit, Michigan)

The last report was about twenty hours ago and the story has entirely evaporated since then so wtf was this:

The picture looks convincing but it appears the whole thing may have been a Twitter invention just like hacking C-SPAN.

In the mighty words of our leader, the Great God Mescalito, "There's some really weird shit afoot."

Gamora:  because we're surrounded by idiots
