Cadillac Man Welcomes Charlotte to the World

Charlotte is a new spirit in the world and Cadillac Man has a special interest because she's his first granddaughter and she is following a grandson a few years ago.

Of special interest to me is that Cadillac Man and Charlotte's Mother will be coming down here in a few days.  My thought was whether that's flying too close to the delivery but I know nothing of parenting and that's their plan, filled with coolness as it is.

Charlotte's Mother hasn't seen me since inquiring of her Father, "Daddy, why does he keep worms in his swimming pool?"

She was young and had to know, right?

Note:  during and after rain, worms come aboveground with seemingly all of them hell bent on committing suicide in the nearest swimming pool.

Here's some more Great Circle material since this little life pops into the world about the same I'm deciding to slide out of it.

Zen Yogi:  is that Great Circle from the "The Lion King?"

Nope and I don't even remember that much of the movie really.  The story now is another Great Circle with all the other Great Circles and ...

Zen Yogi:  you just make this stuff up as you go?

Yep since life does the same thing when it comes the way John Lennon said as you can make your plans and then life happens.

Assuming no-one bollixes the world into nuclear obliteration and assuming one hundred years of life expectancy for anyone born now, Charlotte should live to 2117 or better.

There's no possible way to imagine since we can go back to the time of our own grandparents and imagine what they could have forecast for a century ahead.  My ol' Mother was born at the end of WWI so aircraft were not such a way to travel but she lived to fly to America on a Boeing 707 and she saw all of the NASA launches.  Note:  watching launches was a family mandate since a launch was more important than anything else could be so attendance was mandatory for all six kids.  That's still a great vibe after all this time since there was a great awareness we really were watching some exceptional history right in front of us.

Staying within that channel, we have Elon Musk and his space spectacles now but how does it go if they follow for a century such a dynamic evolution as the original aircraft.  Sci fi goons out there mostly want a starship so go ahead and place your bets on how far into the future before someone like Elon Musk is building them.  Given how much things changed in my ol' Mother's life, I doubt there's any way to come up with a realistic guess which is actually anywhere near the true result of how it will be in 2117 as it will be ... bigger than that.

Charlotte has only been in the world for three days and what an enormous shock to be here since she had it so easy where it was warm and she didn't have to do anything and then *** whammo *** it's cold and everything has changed.  I don't know anything about raising infants but the idea still brings huge sentimental goo and, wtf, it's beautiful.

This evening has been such a remarkable trip from top to bottom.  The scope of the evening goes back to the start of Ithaka via Seraphin now and through Charlotte in 2017.  We will make an epic out of this yet.  The next step is from Fort Worth to somewhere in east Tennessee (I think) so Ithaka really has covered some miles.

Unexpected trips are the finest kind and these were and continue to be so excellent.
