When the Stoners Bought an Entire Town for Less than Justin Bieber's House

A 100-year-old ghost town founded during the California Gold Rush is being modernized for the “green rush” after a cannabis company purchased all the land, buildings and businesses for $5 million.

On Thursday, American Green, a marijuana technology company, announced they purchased a small town in San Bernardino County with the intention of turning it into the “the country's first energy-independent, cannabis-friendly hospitality destination.”

RT:  Cannabis company buys entire California town to create marijuana tourist destination

That sounds swell on the presentation for financing but WTF is it they're pitching.  I'm fairly sure I'm stoned enough to grok some truly ridiculous concepts but what possible reason is there to go to this wasteland just to blow a joint.

Ed:  they will build stuff

When that's the case, I could go anywhere with my tourist dollar and the lookin' is a whole lot prettier in Colorado where it's not all built-up.

Snidely Whiplash:  I'm from the No Mercy Bank and my professional opinion is Nipton is a sinkhole waiting to fuckin' happen.  The water table is being sucked out from underneath them by corporate farmers so it's a future sinkhole and they're fucked.

Thanks for that professional advisory, Snidely.

Ed:  how does Justin Bieber play into this?

There was the audio vision of him delivering his Willy Wanker spiel but with Johnny Cash's voice.

Enjoy the vision.  You're welcome.
