When You're Way in the Outback in Australia and You Don't Want to Walk

An amazingly inventive group of Australians get a wrecked and rusting Hyundai running in the remote Outback Australian bush using parts from a wrecked Holden and an impressive amount of ingenuity.

- YouTube

Maybe you know the term 'bush carpentry' and this is the automobile version with a couple of beater cars and a group of fellows who really don't want to walk on this hot day.

High five, mates!

Thank you, Pink, for the video link

It's a simple thing like the red dirt which gets me missing the Old Country and I know it's silly when you can see all the red dirt you like when you go down South in America but it's not the same red dirt, man.  There's the home red dirt and then there's any other red dirt anywhere else which couldn't possibly be as good.

Ed:  you don't get homesick for the Opera House in Sydney?

Nah, it's mostly the red dirt which does it.

I just found this video--trying to find the full movie. Someone in an art group posted it. Think you would like it too! ML

Love of his work is lifetime and one of the Deepest Art Experiences for me was seeing "The Potato Eaters" right in front of me. I couldn't even tell you how long I stood there looking at it and longer than with any other art work I ever saw.

Thank you!

Movie was 2 years in the making, so maybe it has not been released yet. But when it is released...its a MUST SEE!

It's surprisingly effective to thieve them as I can get high quality versions of just about anything that way. It's only really obscure ones which are difficult to find.
