Blink MK2, the New Age Analog of a Mood Ring or a Lava Lamp

Mood Rings were a fad in the 70's and were stupid but at least less destructive than the political fads we have seen of late.  The Mood Ring would change color based on your body temperature and this was high technology back then.  Keep in mind this was just before Reagan so high technology with that lot was being able to drive a car.  Such people likely also bought Pet Rocks in their time as well.  (WIKI:  Mood Ring)

Now there's the Blink MK2:

Know someone with Twitter anxiety, constantly checking to see if they've been mentioned?  Or would you like to know when your computer's acting weird behind the scenes, like if suddenly your CPU starts getting slammed for possibly nefarious reasons?  Maybe you want to know when a web page has changed, or anything else you'd like a notification for...  That's what the Blink is for. It's a tiny, discreet USB plug that's actually an LED indicator, one that you can set to flash in different colors and patterns depending on what you've set it to tell you.  It works with IFTTT for serious flexibility, and comes with a five foot extension cord.

There are more swell gifts as your paranoid friends will be ecstatic to discover you can get a kit for less than thirty bucks for picking locks.  Get your very own Toool Emergency Lock-Pick Card today. If you weren't paranoid before hearing of this gadget, you will be after you see it's real.

Even better, there's the USB cable ... which won't send any data.  Get the PortaPow Data Block USB ($7.89) or the PortaPow Micro USB Cable ($11.99) and they sure give perfect protection alright.

The people who buy these things probably have Lava Lamps or know someone who does.

Ed:  did you own one?

Nope.   I discerned relatively early lava lamps weren't half as cool as the ganja to smoke while watching lava lamps.
