"The Chicken Issue" - Lewis Black

Lewis Black explains Election 2016 and it may not be clear how that relates to killing chickens but we're sure you can put it together.

Note:  I'm not sure which set this was so I'm not even sure what year but it works well for the election anyway.

Something which dawned this morning was about the complacence of people and that long-standing theme isn't worth revisiting for its own sake but I believe I heard a billion dollars was spent by each team or maybe in total on the election.  In other words, it took that much money to engineer the hopelessness in people to the point at which few expect anything from the vote.

People have behaved like such invertebrates in this election and that's a drag to see but there's kind of an optimistic epiphany in seeing, well, it took a shit ton of money to engineer the hopelessness in them.  Only those of exceptionally strong will are able to resist a day-in / day-out beatdown with nothing in it except conform, conform, conform.

It was depressing to see people turn into such a herd of cows but then I thought, hmmm, it sure took one hell of a lot of hammering to get them that way.

So why did you kill the chicken, lady?
