"Welcome to the Jungle" will probably not get much disagreement to the idea it's one of the best examples of non-poser rock (i.e. no thrashing nor shredding) and it's one of the best examples of the rock band disease (e.g. rampaging drug abuse and every other problem it may bring).
The YouTube stats show this video has been watched over 126 million times. The song is the theme song for the Cincinnati Bengals football team and their home stadium is called The Jungle.
It doesn't look much like they reviewed the lyrics prior to that selection, tho:
We are the people that can find
Whatever you may need
If you got the money, honey
We got your disease

Um, yah, right (larfs).
This band exploded like it was bombed by B-52s but that explosion didn't come from outside. We don't want to go into how bands destroy themselves but the mention of drugs and we mean soul-killers should tell enough of the story anyway. It's not a tragedy when it's self-inflicted.
