The Last Package of American OREO Cookies in the Universe

Silas is the Hunter/Gatherer at the Rockhouse.   He likes OREO cookies and he knows this is one of those pseudo-foods which he must never keep close-by or he will eat like a sweathog until they're all gone.  They're relegated to this ignominious location and Yevette has (cough) a bit more of a sweet tooth than I but she has the same deal with OREO cookies as in don't let them come too close or they will, miraculously, add far more body weight than the actual weight of the cookies.  Physics as yet has no explanation.

There will never be another package of OREO cookies coming into this place and it will still be possible to buy Hecho en Mexico OREO cookies because that's where NABISCO makes them now.  This Hunter/Gatherer will never buy them even when we obviously like them because we loathe the way NABISCO even sells out the workers who make cookies.

The protest against NABISCO is easy:  just leave them on the shelf.  Besides, it's better for your kids to skip the cookies so they don't wind up looking like the wrong answer in a weightlifting contest.

Found this video--lots of NATURAL meds growing in the desert--thought Yvette would enjoy--she probable already is aware of benefits of the Prickly Pear. Many videos on how to harvest it too!! Love, ML

It goes the same both ways and is always a big smile to talk.

The benefit of a Prickly Pear sounds kind of weird but why not.

Lots of plants in the desert that the big drug companies don't want you to know about. The Native Americans knew! I thought Yvette would be interested, but being from Texas, she probably already knows about these natural remedies. Prickly pear is very abundant and lots of good stuff in the fruit. Many Youtube videos on it plus the survivalist ones, living off the grid. And living without a job ones. I keep the good info and pitch the drastic stuff. I'ts interesting and it gives my fingers a break from coloring!! ha ha! ML

I did pass that along to Yevette via Twitter and she's intermittent for online because sometimes that broken-down television is more interesting that the Internet and I can't fault her logic on that.

There are countless Big Pharma researchers who are working for better health care but there are zero Big Pharma CEOs who have any interest in it.

I'm sure your breathing probably prevents ganja as an anti-depressant solution but I'm almost entirely convinced there isn't a better one available from Big Pharma. Like you, many were thrown at me by them but I found all of them seriously wanting for many reasons. It's hard to even imagine how different my life would have been if reefer were legal. That kind of suppression of valid pharmacological tools when they don't control them is one of the many corporate crimes of America.

That's the sad truth. ML

Not sad here as I've never paid any attention to that law. Ha!
