Why If Not @BernieSanders then Donald Trump

Bernie Sanders is the once and future leader to freedom from the desperate hellhole of Establishment control of every aspect of our lives.  That the powers-that-be are utter failures is demonstrated conclusively by the endless hammering of the need for monitoring and surveillance yet those same powers-that-be have failed completely to detect even one of the major terrorist attacks in the world.

(Ed:  they have prevented multiple attacks!)

Yah, sure, they say that all the time but they rarely make any arrests so we don't see anything more than another Establishment lie.

The need for an honest leader is clear and it's abundantly clear why it should be Bernie Sanders rather than Hillary Clinton as she has been Establishment to the core, no matter how much she tries to wriggle and whine her way out of it now.  When NDAA was extended, she was right there with it.  When the Patriot Act was extended, she was right there with the need.

We are not right there with Hillary Clinton and will not ever be with that kind of lying whoring of the Democratic Party ever.  Yes, of course Obama does that too but what in flaming hell convinces you the country needs more of that.

Therefore, Bernie Sanders.

However, after what we saw in Arizona yesterday, it's conceivable Hillary Clinton can engineer this election just as much as did George Bush when he got sleazed into the White House.  That won't get her elected but it's conceivable she will be able to defeat Bernie Sanders for the nomination that way.

Assuming that is true and Bernie Sanders does not run as an Independent, the consideration will shift to Donald Trump and specifically because of his dead-accurate view of the elimination of NATO as a useless and cynical money pit.  That idiot wall he wants to build will never happen and likely he knows it.  He can't possibly be so stupid as to think it can be accomplished or that it will even work.  He has already said in one of his own speeches that it would be easy to defeat with a ladder and a rope.

(Ed:  do you seriously think Trump could get the U.S. out of NATO?)

Unknown but this subject has not been raised previously and we're glad to see anyone do it.  The GOP has been using NATO as a hugely-expensive way to use Europe as a buffer against any attack by the Soviet Union against the United States.

(Ed:  the Soviet Union doesn't even exist anymore!)

It's pointless to tell the GOP that as most of them don't even remember what George Bush did ... or make excuses for it.

We strongly believe eliminating NATO is one of the most aggressive possible moves which can be made toward peace in the world.  In one stroke, tensions will be lowered all across the continent and consequently across the world.

(Ed:  Obama has pushed NATO right up to Moscow's doorstep!)

Obviously get rid of him too!  What he did in Iran and Cuba hardly make up for that.

Moreover, we strongly believe getting rid of New Democrats is vital to peace because they're oblivious to the consequences of their meandering.  Real Democrats never put up with this Clinton bullshit and that contagion has only got worse since he did it.

The New Democrats fall to the ground, quivering likes its a tent revival, on the mention of Bill Clinton reducing the deficit but did you ever hear anyone mention what happened to the National Debt during that same period.  Short answer:  not much.  It's also likely true the USS George Bush (for the first of that incompetent dynasty and not the second) was commissioned during Bill Clinton's tenure and that must make any Democrat proud, huh.

Did you just say if Bernie cant run you would vote for Trump

Let's not get too carried away with it as I would consider it. There is no chance I would consider Clinton because I know her record.

Trump's statements about NATO are valid and positive.

If Bernie does not get the Democratic nomination he will likely back Hilliary. He will likely do this because a lot of the ideas he espouses will be included in the Democratic platform. His campaign has been powerful and will be hard to ignore.

If Cruz or Kasich do not get the Republican nomination they will likely back Trump. Neither Cruz or Kasich has run the powerful campaign that Bernie has. The Republican establishment will get some concessions from Trump. However, the Republican platform under Trump as the nominee will be radically different from the Democratic platform under Bernie or Hilliary.

A vote for Trump will likely be a vote against most of what I thought you, Bernie, most Democrats and many Republicans believe.

WOW. He made a statemwnt this morning that ISIS needs to think we would consider a nuclear option

Fair enough. That moves him out to loon territory again and kills any potential for support but it won't drive anything to Clinton, not with me.

CM: it's a fair evaluation and one positive doesn't counter a big pile of demerits for Trump. Clinton doesn't have any positives and also has a pile of demerits (e.g. NDAA, bomber, etc, etc).

If Sanders does back Clinton out of some twisted sense of fairness then there's no remaining option but abstention. I voted for this previously and I won't do it again because my review of that vote is and has been that it was betrayed and I said that long, long before now. In my view, Clinton will be even worse.

Sanders is now laying out process needed to support Clinton

Sarcasm pending, I assume (larfs)

I missed the reference.

No Sanders released a statement on what policies the Dems would have to include in the platforms in order for him to endorse Clinton

Hmm ... must see that list to have anything sensible to say. It must be about somewhere or other.
