There is no separation of church and state in Texas:
Banners of this nature are hanging from most of the light poles in downtown Fort Worth, TX. Don't you love American religion. Don't you love how you have to pay for it regardless of whether you believe it. Don't you love how there is only one religion in Texas.
Do you think Texas will ever lead the world in anything?
(Ed: it might have when Ann Richards was governor! In fact, that's when Texas schoolbooks were used as a standard across the country and they sure as hell are not that anymore.)
Fair enough.
Note: she was over twenty years ago and was the last honest governor in Texas.
If you say you know feminism and don't know Ann Richards, you need to do some more reading, darlin'. (WIKI: Ann Richards)
She was the brightest governor this one has ever seen in Texas and she was out-voted by George Bush. Why? Texas bigots. See the light poles in the picture at the top. She never would have put up with brazen crap like that. Believe whatever you like but you have absolutely no right to force anyone else to pay any aspect of it. That's not government, that's a theocracy.
Welcome to IranoTexas. It's only a matter of time until Texans start calling their governors Ayatollah.
