Cadillac Man's Pilgrimage Continued Here at the Rockhouse on the Trail of the #Blotto

Disclaimer: this is straight-up writing of active lung cancer in me but nothing in the #Blotto set of articles has been written with thoughts of trying to shock or disturb.  I am using in-home hospice and that's the best circumstance I could hope relative to being in a hospice clinic or, worst of all, to be admitted into a hospital.

The Pilgrimage of the last part went into the day of the second part and so it was wonderful to welcome Cadillac again for a bit of celebration.  He said there needed to be celebration of Ithaka hitting a million after my recognition of the passage wasn't much beyond simply acknowledging it had happened.

He was insistent and he brought more than words to demonstrate his position since he also brought a blood great balloon, one of the Mylar kinds which are so colorful and they also hold the gas for an exceptionally long time.  The specifications for such balloons is likely as interesting to you as recipes for tooth paste but there's more since the balloon didn't have any celebratory text on its sides.

The Tribunal (i.e. Yevette, Cadillac Man, Silas) determined the words for the historical balloon should be Ithaka Hit a Million / Dream Big and Onward to a Zillion.  There was agreement across the Rockhouse this would be the most auspicious text so Cadillac Man.

Zen Yogi:  and this was the funny part?

Sure it was since CM kept trying and trying to write the text but he was using the pen provided by the Balloon People.  Apparently it had dried out on the rack but CM kept trying and soon the balloon would leap from his control to zoom back to the ceiling again.  He was strongly determined and he would fetch it for another go only to have it leap from control again.  It must have been hugely frustrating for him but it was funny to watch and he took it with good nature.

Zen Yogi:  what came of it?

The campaign tanked but only after a determined effort to get it done. The enthusiasm carried over to the Rockhouse and we only need a nicely bright marker from Walmart to finish it.

The conversation went into all kinds of different matters and pieces from that may come up in some future articles since I'm knackered now but it was a wonderful time and a perfect way to get all tuckered out.

Whitewashing the health aspect is pointless after posting a few pics yesterday which showed this feller isn't doing so well.  The informational side of it is real and useful for showing the rate of decline but the detail side of it only amounts to oh, my achin' ass which no-one needs in any way.

The last days have been rough and there was no way to hide that from Cadillac Man but he has been through this previously with other members of his family so the Pilgrimage stayed cool over all and, just like the others, most of the time was spent laughing.  This time emphasized again the only way to deal with the parts of this which suck is to focus everything on whatever parts don't suck.  That may sound like some simple aphorism but it's vital and it's been working well for me and everyone else who has been down there.

The visit with Cadillac Man is the Last of the Pilgrimages and that brings an unusual sensation in terms of Things Which End but it doesn't hit as hard as it may seem it should.  There's yet another visit tentatively planned but that's not as solid as the others have been.  I'm concerned about inflicting this on you as it progresses further.  Nothing changes for me since it's lovely to see you but the impact of seeing me will likely get steadily worse.

It comes down the hardest on Yevette down here since she tries everything she can think to get some food into me and it breaks her heart when it doesn't work.  I try to reassure her to tell her she hasn't failed; it's only that my body won't cooperate.  I'm down to 120 pounds so that shows you the progression and the reason for my concern about the impact to anyone seeing the situation.

I love all of you and all the more after the Pilgrimages whether physical in actually visiting or virtual in terms of those who come in spirit.  I know there's a vibe of underlying sadness to this missive but that's only attributable to my inadequate skills in failing to write it better.  In fact, my next move is to watch the rest of "The Matchmaker" since it's a movie which is charming and funny.  The vibe is not at all as depressive and morose as it may seem here.

There's been quite a bit of argita over dealing with a notary public and such people are vital for documents needed at this stage of the game such as for power of attorney, etc.  Tension on the matter grew as it became more evident I couldn't go to the bank to deal with it.  Cadillac Man was all over this and firstly with a card which contained a helpful surprise and then through searching online for traveling notaries who will come to your home to do their work.  Within about ten or fifteen minutes, the problem was solved and Cadillac Man was left with a happy smile of goodness for making it happen.

There's more goodness from Cadillac Man and this of particular interest to Mystery Lady since he knew the photograph immediately and will be sending that via email.  All of you know the singular importance a photograph can have and the one in question is exactly the kind of photograph which matches that.

This latest #Blotto missive may be the hardest for you to take and apology makes no sense when no-one willed the circumstance to happen.  Nevertheless, that feeling is in me that I'm sorry to inflict this on you.  The difficulty is extreme for all but the advice I've been dispensing throughout is more than words since I practice determinedly the art of looking for the goodness and the most surprising to everyone is that I have been finding it all along and through that hopefully you all find it as well.

Much love to you all.
