What Do You Mean Ireland Will Get Hit By a Hurricane

A US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) graphic gives an approximate representation of the hurricane path

The NOAA projections you already know are not completely reliable but this one is impossible anyway since hurricanes just don't do this.  Hurricane Ophelia is not coming as a full-bore destroyer such as with Hurricane Harvey but Ireland has never experienced any hurricane and particularly not one which will affect the entire country.  It's not likely much will remain after crossing Ireland but Scotland is entirely in Ophelia's path as well.

Zen Yogi:  do we need the full diatribe on climate change?

No, we don't, Yogi.  When weather events take place and have no precedent, it doesn't require any comment beyond observation of the fact of them.  It rains frequently in both countries ... but the wind and rain won't carry a payload of palm trees which a hurricane can easily deliver.

Note:  Ireland has plenty of palm trees and that surprises many people.

Zen Yogi:  maybe God just doesn't like Celts?

That's possible but not likely after Celts have been his dutiful servants for at least a thousand years, mate.

Crikey, my brothers and sisters, these are strange times.
