"Necromancer EQ" - Live at Luxor (2009) - Silas Scarborough w/Thunder Goddess on Drums

"Necromancer EQ" is available as HQ audio from the Ride the Dragon podcast (free).

Sometimes I tell myself I'm just as fast now ... but I ain't (larfs) and it makes me smile thinking, dayum, that was ridiculously fast but it's exciting. "Necromancer EQ" is rock, mystical and fast with excellent drumming from the Thunder Goddess.  Maybe it's not good to play that fast and I've slashed shredding multiple times but some of the stuff in the song is openly shredding.  It doesn't stay that way and I wouldn't want it to do that but it's definitely relentless.

I can hear the difference between then and now so that makes for a bit of wistful but the important thing is to keep doing something different as had happened yesterday, straight from the Necromancer, it seems.  I've never known really where dreams and inspirations originate so I made him up and, yep, they must come from him.

This Necromancer is probably not like the one you may know.  If you need a spirit god then make one up and this one had a cool name so I used it.  I'm not Cthulhu ... except once in a while for videos.

"Necromancer" - Silas Scarborough

Out beyond the darkest farthest place
you have ever traveled
or imagined you would ever be
Out beyond the penetration of light
from the farthest star
Out where the music and love
come to us all
That's where you will find him
The Necromancer

He casts his spells
He weaves his tales
He makes his magic
as he calls on the spirits around him
to foretell the future
as he lives in his dream
and he smiles

Out here at Circe Broom's Luxor
anyone can do it
the spirits fly all through the sky
leaving multi-colored trails behind them
as they move
If you want to find the Necromancer
come to Luxor and feel the love
come to the Lunatic Fringe
