Just as the interview of Susan Sarandon by The Young Turks showed rare truth and insight, so also does an interview with Julian Assange by John Pilger. (RT: Assange: Clinton is a cog for Goldman Sachs & the Saudis (JOHN PILGER EXCLUSIVE VIDEO & TRANSCRIPT))
While I'm not defensive for any candidate, the system is in deep need of defense after the Clintons have worked so determinedly and assiduously to twist it to their own purposes or, more accurately, the purposes of the Establishment or whatever you want to call their Washington Dark Net.
The way the Clintons have done that hasn't been artful but rather it's the opposite since it's so dependent on the complacency of the electorate but they got a full measure of that and few voters questioned anything. All it took was 'elect the woman because the man is bad' and they sang out, "Hallelujah, free the boobs."
We have no need of puns on boobs nor any personal criticism of candidates since they're so insufferably trivial relative to what has been done to the system and which receives almost no protest of any kind. Assange has been treated like a war criminal for years by Republicans and now the Clintons play that as well, all the while failing to lift a finger to act against the real war criminals in their own houses. The cowardice of Obama in this context defies any imagination of what he professed to be when he campaigned for office.
That the Clintons are functionally identical to Republicans receives little to no review and you can plainly see the electorate out there in a deluded fantasy of propriety while ignoring some of the most wicked behavior in the world (e.g. Dakota pipeline, bombing Syrian families, creation of an anti-Putin fifth column in the Republic, etc, etc).
An extended diatribe serves no additional purpose after Julian Assange has stated matters succinctly and accurately. We have huge respect for Julian Assange for his honesty and also for something which separates him even more, his courage. He has stood almost alone in defense of truth and has been absolutely reviled for it by the U.S. government and political establishment. Those forces contrived a de facto confinement and so it's been for years in which Assange has not been able to leave the Ecuadorian embassy.
We have seen the same treatment of Chelsea Manning who has been tortured in every possible way short of open beatings. Anything else which can be done to make her existence worse and the U.S. government has done it. We have seen whistleblowers treated this way multiple times since the determination of the government to stamp out unauthorized truth has reached levels which don't even get a reaction from the electorate anymore.
There's one easy reason why I believe the truth presented by Assange: he's been willing since the start to take a bullet for presenting it. That kind of courage is unstoppable.
