"The Gentleman Who Fell" - Milla Jovovich (video)

Milla Jovovich sings and this isn't some affectation for the movie star as she has been doing it since she was a kid.  This isn't material off-the-shelf from some L.A. hotshot, she writes it herself.

Something extraordinary is she gives away her music on her web site, Milla Jovovich, and you are free to download and remix it.  Professional licensing applies and she reserves the right to sell the material but that's all fair enough and it's very cool she does it.

Plus I get a kick out of discovering she was a bad kid as in getting trouble with the law.  She didn't do really terrible stuff and it was about the same as the sorts of things I did ... but I was a bad kid.  (WIKI:  Milla Jovovich)

She really wanted to play Leeloo in "The Fifth Element" and it amused me to see she made a resolution as part of winning it.  She 'worked like hell: no band practice, no clubs, no pot, nothing.'

Leeloo was her favorite role and she's fascinating in "The Fifth Element" but she was playing "Joan of Arc" when she floored me.  You can't change the outcome by watching the movie so she's still going to die ... and it still made me weepy.  She was absolutely convincing and gave such a powerful performance.

(Ed:  you fell in love with another actress?)

Of course.  If they're any good at all then they can make you fall in love with them.  The best ones impress you at the same time.  With Milla Jovovich I wonder ... is there any limit to her talent.

Oh, and get this:  she learned English in three months.

The resemblance to someone I know is startling.
