"All Along the Watchtower" - Luna on the Gayageum (video)

Luna Gayageum is what she calls herself and she has earned the title.  The gayageum is an instrument popular in Korea and modern versions of it may have up to twenty-five strings.  You will see in the video that it's played like a guitar, a harp, ... or a Stratocaster with a twang bar.  This kid can play!

This video was uploaded fairly recently by Luna Gayageum so it may be close to present time.  You love her too, right?  If not yet, you will.  Play the video.

Something really unusual is that she can bend each string individually.  With a twang bar, all of the strings are stretched at once but this is the opposite and you can see how deftly she does it, often with more than one string.

Note also that it's electrified in some way.  You can see the cables from it on the bottom of the instrument.  Imagine, if you will!

Now then, what say we get her connected with a looper, some effects, some ... yah, like that.  You know it's going to happen anyway.  Check out the computing hardware behind her.  This kid is ready to move!
