Everyone on the Planet Started Out Black

Various theories have existed regarding the radiation of humans about the planet with one of the most creative was the 'mushroom theory' which had humans popping up all over the place (e.g. Peking Man, etc).  While colorful, that theory has gone the way of trickle-down economics for rubbish science and the 'out of africa' theory takes the day.  (ABC News:  Human DNA Tied Mostly to Single Exodus From Africa Long Ago)

Note:  the article has nothing even distantly related to ABC News since it was submitted to Nature and ABC copied it almost verbatim.  Here at the Rockhouse, we wouldn't have jacked with the clerks at ABC but we can't afford the subscription for Nature.

We won't get religious on you but the Out of Africa theory is all you need for the Eden legend and the evidence for a single diaspora is now based on hard genomic evidence.  Previously the theories were based largely on the fossil fragments, often from tiny bony fragments.  Sophistication in genomic analysis has been enjoying at 1849 Gold Rush of late and my ol' Dad was one great shake in genetics but he would sure be dazzled by what they're doing now.

We have nothing in the way of evidence but given that we were all black at one time, doesn't that mean we still are but the genes aren't being expressed in white people.

(Ed:  do you ask because of the faint hope white people may acquire musical simpatico someday?)

You're way ahead of me, Maestro.

There's no sci-fi with this one because it's all the sci-fi we need already.  We are one, everything is everything, and every hippie mantra you ever heard is true.
