A Second-Rate President for America's Faded Glory

Whether Trump or Clinton collects the biggest painted portraits of themselves is likely the only significant difference between the candidates and don't you even think about calling her Hillary after November.  One of the most nauseating aspects of the election was how Clinton presented herself as your friend and people helped her do it.  There was 'Hillary said this' or 'Hillary said that' and it got to sounding like people were attending PTA meetings with her.  Like she ever attended a PTA meeting in her life (larfs).

Nothing has changed down here at the Po' House because neither Clinton nor anyone else in the country has any interest in whether the under class lives and the identity of the next President makes no difference whatsoever.  We know this because the last President made no difference to us whatsoever.  He actually made no difference to anyone whatsoever except the people he got killed on his watch.

There's been some amusement in hearing Clinton speaking of her 'readiness for the Presidency' but if she brings the same readiness as Obama, we're fucked; he never delivered anything of substance except opening Iran, the only thing in the Middle East he didn't destroy other than Netanyahu's shiny backside.  His ability to kiss Netanyahu's ass was more deserving of a prize than anything else he did.

Note:  he also got a point for opening Cuba but America had been such a prick about it for so long it didn't mean much by the time Obama got around to it.

The validation of an incompetent President is when he or she says, "I will put Putin in his place."

However, Putin is already in his place and has never left it.  Instead, America plays a puerile version of nuclear brinksmanship and their boy scouts draw lines in Europe to tell Putin, "I double dog dare you to cross that."

Putin only smirks and thinks, "Stupid fucking Americans don't even drink as much vodka as Yeltsin to get that moronic.  It's easier to get Republicans frothy and raging than it is to get Campfire Girls to sing Kumbaya."

There would be more interest in the election if any adults were participating in it but there's no indication of it.  There's only a parade of second-rate journalists with an odd smugness about their wisdom from a singularly short-sighted view of things.  When they're expecting history from a woman taking the Presidency, they might consider just how much history came from a black man taking it (i.e. zero).

People keep saying Clinton lies less than Trump and of course we can count on Democrats for that because we all see how Obama honored his promises to get America out of the Middle East and Afghanistan.

Trust me.

Don't read any of this as an endorsement of Trump.  We hold a higher standard and neither candidate meets it.  The fact Clinton and Trump excluded the other candidates just confirms the swarm nature of their candidacies and the lack of a reason to expect anything substantive from either of them.
