There was an expedition out to the DFW airport tonight to get the lost luggage ... but there was a problem with that. The luggage wasn't there. The girl at the desk was very helpful and said not to worry as it hadn't shipped out of Amsterdam yet so it will be here tomorrow. So, back to the Fort Worth Rock House and try again tomorrow.
But ...
On the way back the phone rings but no way to answer it. Turned out it was the desk and the luggage really was there. Apparently it arrived earlier but someone else picked it up. When the person realised the mistake they brought my stuff back.
But ...
This was just minutes before the desk closed and there was no time to get back to the airport before the people would be gone.
What's disturbing is how it came that someone else picked up my stuff in the first place and whether anything in the luggage was disturbed.
I'm not going to name the airline as Queen Bee works for them and I'm deeply appreciative of the ride. When everything else went so smoothly, it's a little strange that it's been such a circus with the luggage but so it goes.
