Democracy Shutout at GOP and DNC Conventions

Donald Trump shrieked, "The rules are stacked against me."

He's right and they are but the only response from the GOP was, "Gimme a break."  (CNN:  Donald Trump: Rules 'stacked against me')

So, we don't need any further confirmation.  Democracy is already dead in the GOP and that's hardly a surprise.

The director of the DNC, Wasserman Schultz, is voting with the GOP against Elizabeth Warren on payday loan regulation.

Let's repeat that ... the DIRECTOR of the DNC will vote against a Democrat.

From that we conclude, democracy never even entered the DNC.  Hillary Clinton's money saw to that.  We're actually surprised the DNC has descended into the same sordid squalor of the GOP but so it goes.  Bill Clinton led the way and now his fishwife wants to finish it.

The only saving grace to the 2016 election is it has been such a travesty they will still be writing and laughing about it one hundred years from now although most of the writing and comedy will be in Chinese and America will only be a self-righteous inkspot.

The long-term legacy of America will probably be one of more corruption than the Roman Empire and the Iraq slaughter is just the same as the Coliseum but with the substitution of Muslims for Christians.

(Ed:  America hasn't done any better than a bunch of savage polytheistic imperialists who crucified people along the side of the road?)

You're telling me you seriously see a difference?  Bill Clinton executed Ricky Ray Rector even though Rector had shot away half his brain in a suicide attempt.

When you think of Bill Clinton as Nero and his saxophone as a violin, the future isn't all that hard to predict.  But he will never be recorded as any more than a secondary player who served only as a stooge for the GOP campaign to destroy the country which, as we see in the destruction of fundamentals in the conventions, has been a resounding success.

As we have seen with the way the GOP has undermined the Presidency for the last eight years, they talk principles all the time but no-one is doing more to destroy the things America represents.  There has never been a time of greater institutional disloyalty but it's only another symptom of a country with nothing left.  The country has tons of money in the hands of the rich but it doesn't trickle down and the only thing trickling down outside the country is death from drone bombs.

Any idea Americans really want a democracy has been completely destroyed by Hillary Clinton and the GOP rejection of Donald Trump.

Those who did the damage think they will get away with it.

They're wrong.  We are just observing at the moment.  Millions of Americans will have a reason on the GOP and DNC sides to stand up because the corruption and horror of this election has been so blatant since they rich couldn't care less if they're observed.  They're never sent to jail and the rich are usually not even prosecuted.

Americans have been seeing this for a long, long time.  The powers that be think it can continue.  So did the French and the Russians didn't take the Bolsheviks seriously either.  The GOP thuggery is making that reaction inevitable.  Throughout history, the rich could only abuse the system for so long before the people rise.

The Republicans think they have enough guns to control it but, ask yourself, what else did their guns control ... anywhere in the world.  If you came up with nothing then you already know the future in America.

The only thing anyone will even want to remember of America ... is the Indians.
