"Jupiter Ascending" - It Grows on You

One thing glared at the end:  why does Mila Kunis get the second billing after Channing Tatum.  She was the obvious star, primary focus, etc, etc and yet gets second billing??  wtf?

So, noted and moving along ... Mila Kunis becomes highly-compelling as the Hot Babe who Thinks and the story is one step way past ludicrous but there are some redeeming aspects.

The vicious repartee of the royals was outstandingly cold and heartless but with interesting twists in their philosophy.  That became a fascination as it moved along and the story takes a while to get to them.

The visuals make almost no sense whatsoever but they're still cool to watch, even if more lengthy than is really needed, even for a cartoon.

There is almost no science to it and the cop for that is all they do comes after a billion years of development or so and therefore we could not possibly understand it.  Using that cop works but you lose all claim to sci-fi and they don't care because it lets them go full-out fantasy.

The biggest bother with it is DTS sound since that works tremendously going through DTS kit but the dynamic range is all whacked for standard audio systems.  To hear spoken parts requires pushing the volume up but then action parts come in so loud they shake the walls.  That's common in a lot of P2P movies (i.e. download, watch, throw them away) and it's particularly annoying for action flicks because it requires one hand on the volume control.  It's not enough bother to stop doing it but annoying nevertheless.
