Sci-Fi and the Hi-Fi and the Doobie Doobie Do

In the following Twitticisms 11/22 - 1 - Sci-Fi Edition comes some major Hi-Fi Sci-Fi and we'll skip the doobie doobie do just now because the science does or does not need it, as you choose.

There's no pretense here at the Rockhouse of understanding the detail of all the scientific articles presented.  However, we do see the concepts and the sci-fi is considering where they may go.

In one of the links, there's an article regarding electronic, self-healing skin.  That triggers thoughts of intelligent 'skin' for android-type devices but possibly more interesting is what comes from such a 'skin' for humans.  If the artificial skin will not impede the vitally-important processes of normal skin, what of 'wearing' this stuff as a layer over it and the electro-skin has the intelligence to know when to darken to protect against too much sun.

(Ed:  instead of tinted windows, we get self-tinting skin?)

Read the article as it seems things of that nature may be possible.

(Ed:  nature?)

We build it so that makes it natural, yes?  (larfs)

There's a bit of an excursion from the way-too-heavy with current events and skip over (cough) to the way-too-heavy in science.  This is not to divert from the current but rather to give it more weight because regulars have seen this content before and there is always more fascination to be found in it, we're quite sure the fascination will be in different ways from different readers.

To some extent this is to try to avoid killing the Angel by singing too much praise.  We are not the Angel but rather we listen and try to translate, not always so successfully.  There are definite apologies in that because it's not anyone's failing if my message is not clear enough to impart anything but my own failure to tell it well.

But, if I may, one more observation regarding currency is I see almost nothing regarding attempts to track ISIS money or to attack ISIS computers.  There's all manner of concern regarding blood spilling but there's very little evidence of intelligence in it, particularly within social media where the hysteria has gone full Herbert with fear is the mind killer.  Online drips with fear and it's not so much reprehensible but rather a phenomenon not uncommon in history.  It's incumbent on us to find a rational way of dealing with it because we've seen the massive consequences when people have failed to deal with it in the past.

And, so, doobie doobie do, man.
What's it all to you, man?
We're all trying to be free
but electro-skin is cool to see
So we read, man, we read.

(Ed:  if you go hip hop college prof with a beret and a beater MG, we will find you!)

Well, you wouldn't if the MG actually started.
