The Rite of Spring

Nooooo, not that Rite of Spring but this one.

Bhaktapur, Nepal

In other news:  vermilion is a powder?

Here at the Rockhouse, we're familiar with Rites of Spring whether they're musical, Fort Lauderdale drunks falling out of windows, or going to the Sauerkraut Festival in Waynesville ... but ... we're coming up dry on that vermilion powder celebration.  The man doesn't have it only on his face; his body is covered in it.

Ed:  that will make him more fertile during the coming year

Well, we sure see the problem with fertility in the world, don't we.

The vermilion is cool since if you spray him with water then every step he takes will be Impressionist art.

Ed:  you just like the colors

I fuckin' love the colors!  Nowhere does a Festival of Colors better than India; that's just flat impossible.
