"I Don't Need No Doctor" - Humble Pie - Live in 1975

Featuring the incomparable Steve Marriott who drank way the hell too much and was cut from life's play list in '91.  That's Peter Frampton on lead and he's been acknowledged as the handsomest stud in rock but Humble Pie didn't much care about being beautiful.

I was playing soldier when they came to Cincinnati and that's when Doc saw them.  I've mentioned that show multiple times due to a case of pure green envy at having missed it.

Die Kaninchen know I sure as hell do need a doctor but I can listen to this and pretend I don't ... just like Washington (larfs).

Here's why all the girls loved Peter Frampton and he may still be the one who cranked out the biggest selling rock album of all time.  Check out the tricked-out Les Paul he played and this the song where he uses the voice box with it.  I suppose others tried but no-one else made it cool and the album sold fifty million copies, presumably many more when it's about forty years later.

This may be dismissed as mainstream now but that concept in my time meant the Archies, Bobby Goldsboro, and Pat Boone stealing music from Little Richard.  This was definitely not mainstream.  At least mainstream didn't invade FM for years so we didn't have to listen to it.
