Substantial Drop in World Animal Populations

It's a PSA since the news is a bitch and the only way change can come is through collective action.  When so much of the world's wildlife has been wiped out in such a short time, it's all happening now just as with the Cave Lion which we found and consequently ate until they went extinct. (Science Daily:  Global wildlife populations: 58 percent decline, driven by food and energy demand)

Note:  there's a difference between extinction and extirpation since the latter means seeking something out deliberately to destroy it.  Only man is capable of that one and continue with that thinking as you will.

Also, for Apple systems, if you double-click a word to select it and then CTRL-click that word, a contextual menu will pop up.  Assuming the word is known, at the top of the menu will be 'Look up' and selecting that one will give you a brief dictionary meaning.  Unknown at what level of OS X that was first introduced.  That dictionary is not as comprehensive as some others but it's generally useful.

There's no better editorial for the situation than we can get from meerkats since they're looking forward to, well, whatever meerkats hope to see and what a bitch if they weren't still around to watch them doing it.

Meerkats love rocket launches except they often fall over while watching them as you can see with the one on the right.  He doesn't seem to be watching the same rocket as the others.  He may be the Meerkat Who Sees Things Other Meerkats Don't See.

(Ed:  or he's been eating some fermented fruit again!)

Sure enough.  That works for crows and they love to get hammered that way.

Note:  I'm fairly sure elephants know it too that they can get a drunkie buzz from eating fermented fruit so go ahead floating off to sleep as you think of the dancing disco elephants ... in tutus ... and party hats.  We just ask you to keep them around so the kids can see them do it too.

Not just elephants. I plan to go visit the Marula trees when the fruit falls. It is a very very popular expedition

I didn't know the tree and now I see all kinds of animals enjoy the fruit from it, especially when it's fermented.
