OS X El Capitan 10.11.5 is Dry and Huge

This was a maintenance release with no identification of specific changes in the release note beyond fix bugs, improve performance, etc.  Start the update and discover it's 758 MB so either there are some really huge bug fixes or one massive pile of them.  No noticeable effect beyond one silly bug in which the OS X Preferences forgot my default keyboard (i.e. German).  Other than that, nothing noticed with it here.  (Mac Rumors: Apple Releases OS X 10.11.5 El Capitan With Bug Fixes and Performance Improvements)

No idea what was in it but it doesn't seem to have broken anything and it wasn't expected to add or extend features.

Note:  I've become accustomed to the German keyboard layout in which Y and Z switch places, among other things.  Now my finger brains do the work so I get it wrong when using the English layout.
