Here's One for the Mystery Lady - It's Maggie

Maggie was an unofficial therapy dog Mystery Lady brought with her to a job in daycare for the elderly.  The purpose of such a place is to provide relief to families who are more than willing caregivers but doing it twenty-four hours a day wrecks their lives and this was a respite for everyone.

The old folks weren't basket case but they were definitely far enough past prime that one dropped out every so often and for the obvious reason.

In the meantime, they loved Maggie and Mystery Lady.  She was an extremely biddable dog and well-mannered around people who really need that because it's easy to knock them over if a dog gets excited.  Maggie was the kind of dog which stayed cool even when others might not.

Sure she needs a haircut but it was ok with her so long as it didn't get too long.  It was kind of like when you do not crop the ears of a boxer dog and they flop about.  They're much more fun when their ears aren't pointed up and they look almost military.  Boxers love people and I never saw either of two the family had bite anyone or even snap.  They could be hell on other dogs and we had to prevent that but they never attacked people unless some warped whatever forced them that way.  That specifically is why my ol' Dad selected a boxer.  He contacted the police in Sydney to know which dog had never attacked children:  boxer.

Note:  cocker spaniel is one of the worst for biting just about anything.

We had a cocker spaniel and her name was Happy.  She ran away.

Note:  I'm not trying to play Steven Wright.  That's exactly what happened.

Maggie was never any kind of a problem like that and the old folks loved her.  Maggie was Mystery Lady's first Shih Tzu, maybe even her first dog ever, and you already know how much she loved her.  The picture may elicit some tears from her and they do get some misty in me but I think of how wonderful she was and, yah, thats the best anyway.

Note:  posted because I'm not sure if you have this one.
