Pfizer was the last of the drug companies to ban use of their Big Pharma drugs for use in kills in the Death States (e.g. Texas, et al) thus leaving the Death States to go to illegal drug dealers to get their supplies. In other words, the Death States must shop from the same people they put into their jails. (The Guardian: Pfizer blocks its drugs from being used in lethal injections in prisons)
The situation is priceless as Big Pharma has been cranking out Oxycontin like snow in a nor'easter blizzard in New England and that drug kills or at least addicts hopelessly many, many more people than the Death States kill yet they now dispense hypocritical morality on the matter faster than an Alabama tent preacher.
(Ed: or the Republicans?)
Remarkable perspicacity, Watson.
The hypocrisy from the Death States, particularly in their religion, is prime time America in the modern age and likely they will tell us it's ok to execute bad guys because they know best who the bad guys are. We've seen how through history in which we can always count on the state to make decisions which have a precise legal and moral basis when it comes to killing people, haven't we.
(Ed: I haven't seen that!)
Right, matey, mate. Neither has anyone else.
Governor Rick Perry, the recent Killer King of Texas, screams from his political pulpit ... but, but ... an eye for an eye! The American Beauty part of this is he is one of the same people who wants the Ten Commandments on the statehouse lawn. From that, we must assume, the godly and supremely self-righteous Killer King ...
a) never read them
b) is not bound by religion except to flog others
c) because fuck the Ten Commandments
d) all of the above
The Holy Governor Rick Perry of Texas has been under investigation for years for state killings under illegal circumstances because ...
a) evidence was ignored
b) evidence was suppressed by prosecutors
c) witnesses were intimidated
d) DNA data were not admissible because Killer Kings never believe in evolution or anything else
e) all of the above
Once again, America shows it knows less about religion than the average kid knows about catching frogs with a stick. The basis for state killings is always Biblical because they don't have to care what Jesus said, only what they want to believe in the parts of the Bible they like.
