Kannafoot Speaks of a Mutual Muslim Friend

The biggest part of the relationship with our Muslim friend that you may have forgotten is with whom he developed his closest friendship.  That's a friendship that continues today.  Despite being half a continent away, they talk almost nightly, and whenever he's in town, the two of them get together for dinner nightly.  What makes this so memorable is this our Muslim friend - a devout Sunni - is best friends with a Jew.

Three years ago, our Muslim friend gave me a Quran.  I took the time to read it, and I wish every Christian on the planet would do the same.  The misconceptions that exist about Islam and what is contained in the Quran are disturbing.  Christians would be astonished at how much is written about Jesus, and they would be stunned to learn that an entire section is devoted to Mary.

If folks would read the Quran, they would know that what is being done by the radical Jihadists is not in keeping with that Book.  As our Muslim friend has told me, the rest of the Muslim world doesn't speak out because they agree with the Jihadists, they don't speak out because they are terrified of them.  I believe him.

- Kannafoot

As always, not one word has been changed as it would be grossly disrespectful to both of us and most of all a grave disservice to a man who thinks rather than posting trivial memes for the purpose of inflammatory, hateful rhetoric.  It would also be deeply disrespectful to a man who spoke freely and honestly but is not here to represent himself.  It's in part service to a friendship which I cannot give any other way.

There's the America television hardly ever shows you.  There as well is the Christianity people rarely see.  Standing also is the Islam many seek to hide and obfuscate.  Here at the Rockhouse, we respect all enormously and fervently wish there were more people saying exactly what Kannafoot says because I'm sure you feel the truth of it.

The commentary came about as a result of the following article:  Where is the Muslim Reality Show and Which Network Has Balls to Broadcast It

There is the reality, alright, and it's almost never on television.  We ask again, why not?
