The Mysterious - wondering how much the extreme polarization we see has to do with social networks

Since - maybe the coolest moose you will see all day

If You - we know how you love GMO and it gets better with new research

Some Exceptional - a number of recent papers concern some remarkable medical research

What's Hot

When Freaks - having fun with 'chimerical' from the Word of the Day and also a whole lot of fireworks from possibly (i.e. definitely) more reckless times

Trees Know - research shows trees react differently depending on what eats them and it's interesting to read how the conclusion was made

The Celebrated - this isn't about frogs but bacterial growth rates and the article was kind of a contest since scientists were researching why some bacteria react faster to oil spills, herbicides, etc.  Some bacteria can metabolize such things so there's natural interest in understanding how they do it.

Political - kind of a snarky but brief review of the political moment

Elections - are forgetting all about history and it's a frustrating amnesia for Cadillac Man to behold when American history has been a study all his life.  How does it come the history poofs during election hysteria and then stabilizes to some extent in-between.
