Apple Low-Profile Snakebite Keyboard is Magnetic for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

The order was placed minutes ago and it was the first thing I did when my miniscule stipend arrived.  Problem solved (most likely) for $25 for a used classic Apple USB keyboard plus $11 for a Belkin gel wristpad which goes from one side of the keyboard to the other.

Here at the Rockhouse, we really did learn how to type and the action on the keyboard is important but the Apple Low-Profile Snakebite Keyboard has terrible action and isn't at all 'live.'  No real typist would ever deliberately choose one.

(Ed:  what's a real typist?)

You will need to be able to type over one hundred words per minute with correct spelling and letter-perfect.  That's not a rarity as many competent typists can do it.  In fact, someone, no idea why, typed the entire Bible.

(Ed:  why?)

She said she liked to type.

I don't mean to assault the woman as elegant, high-speed typing is like music in a way and that, da de da, brings us to some deep geek insight into things which mean absolutely nothing.  People wrote routines which would make IBM 1401 printers 'sing songs' just from the physical impact of the different letters on the printer which made slightly different sounds.  No, don't think for a minute I'm kidding.

(Ed:  please tell me you were not one of them!)

Nah, I was twisted but not that far gone.  I did laugh when I heard someone else do it, tho.

Four to five days from relief so likely early next week.

Make no mistake with Carpal Tunnel as I've thrown out some bits about my arm going numb but didn't want that to sound like whining, I just want to know what's causing it and, at that point, I did not know.

My entire arm was going numb and it would sometimes come out of nowhere.  This minute it's more or less ok and then life starts draining out of it relatively quickly.  I'm feeling this and going wtf, wtf, wtf.

The source seems identified this time but don't ever underestimate ergonomics because that stuff can easily eat you up if you let it.
