There can be no bickering with Russia, China nor anyone else as the cause is righteous or it does not need anyone fighting for it. America has tried to solve this problem with its own leadership and has utterly failed.
Although deeply committed to pacifism, there are times when there is no other choice. World War II was one of them and the Middle East has been handled so badly for fifteen years this may be another one. The blame has little meaning now when the problem exists and must be resolved before more civilians die from it.
More than ever, there must be reason rather than emotion governing our behavior because the lack of it is what started this in the first place.
All anyone in the world wants is the same and that is fairness. There is precious little of it except for those who can afford it and there is no intention to expand the discussion to review the disparity but it remains a component nevertheless.
If there is to be a war then it must be united, a world war in concert with Russia, China, America in full agreement on the necessity, the purpose, and what is hoped to be achieved by going into the Middle East together to deal with the problem. Thus far, we have seen nothing more than penny ante absurdity and that has not served any purpose nor does it serve one now as was proven in blood in Paris.
Fighting a war in the Middle East does not solve the problem as it crushes the source but not the reason which is unfairness in so many ways. We see how Germany has opened her borders to refugees and taken in a million people with nowhere to go. Despite that opening, the attack came in Paris and precisely because of the unfairness of the way Muslim people are treated there. We have no doubt ISIS is well-aware of who is working for fairness and who is not. For this reason, we believe Germany may be less vulnerable to this kind of attack.
Opportunists such as Marine le Pen work to exploit this in precisely the same way as Adolf Hitler and we know the dangers of any Fascist state but she drives specifically toward one. As we have seen, the people will fight. Others drive toward that kind of Fascist thinking but, again as we have seen, it has not worked anywhere and has never worked in history or not for very long.
If another attack comes anywhere, more than likely it will be London. You know this already because of the vehemence with which England has been attacking the Middle East.
This is not a time for simplistic, nationalistic thinking as we have seen in abundant measure the attacks don't honor borders and you will never see them coming.
Now, more than ever, we need reason and this time for all of humanity and not for any proprietary concerns anywhere but rather there is a problem to be solved and together we do it. Individual nations have blown this altogether and how much they have exacerbated the problem does not need to be reviewed because now it exists and what will the world do about it.
If it's the same as we have seen, there is little to no chance for any of us. Together, we can do what needs to be done and then get to fixing whatever else is necessary.
We have seen the alternatives and they have had fifteen years to work but did not. Now there is no other choice. It's united we solve the problem or separately we die.
Make your choice but don't wave any flags while you do it because this is for humanity or it is not worth doing.
