The First Refuge of the Incompetent: Blame Russia

The list of failings by the Donald Trump administration is quickly getting too long for a convenient list but the way he lied about Russia is one of the most destructive and the second most destructive is his premise of what I said yesterday doesn't matter because this is what I'm saying today.  That kind of logic may work for Campfire Girls but it's less than impressive in a President.

There was no question with Trump during his campaign that he was pushing a bilateral solution with Russia to bring about an expeditious resolution of the conflict in Syria.  As we see now, there's no a word of it which was true except for the generic Washingtonian caprice regarding whether they want to whack Assad.

Trump said it's no longer a priority to whack Assad so that brought second-string war monkeys out in droves.  McCain is screeching about defending America but there are few who are more incompetent about prosecuting that defense and why he feels qualified to speak on the matter now is mystifying.

"I am a veteran but I really sucked at war so I'm going to give you all advice on how to run one" - John McCain

Ordinarily, John McCain would be the last one from whom to take advice on anything but that was before Rex Tillerson showed up and that pompous buffoon is just as much of a war monkey but he's not even a veteran.  (RT:  Moscow slams NATO’s traditional anti-Russia ‘ritual dance’ featuring debutant Tillerson)

Tell me that vain bitch doesn't think he's beautiful.  Maybe you think Hillary Clinton was a shitty Secretary of State but this bucket of bolts is just as bad.

Mates, this is America and we shouldn't be seeing second-string players running it.  Russia gets the best with Putin but we get amateurish trash like Tillerson, etc.  It's a fucking disgrace.

America's prosecution of its so-called war is so amateurish and so vicious it's being sued for it.  (RT:  2 journalists on ‘kill list’ sue Trump & US agencies)

These civilian journalists say the CIA / White House placement of them on a kill list by their death panels is a violation of international law and they're exactly right.  Even Sharia law has more legal justification than the way the White House does business.

Two journalists added to the US' terrorist “kill list” under President Barack Obama are suing to be removed. They accuse the US of conspiracy to commit murder outside its borders and violating international law by targeting civilians in drone strikes.

On Thursday, Ahmad Zaidan, the former Al Jazeera Islamabad Bureau Chief, and Bilal Kareem, a freelance journalist, filed a lawsuit in the US District Court in Washington alleging they were erroneously placed on a kill list under former President Barack Obama’s administration, which they say, President Donald Trump has illegally continued.

Zaidan was the first journalist to interview Osama Bin Laden in 1998 and Kareem is a US citizen who “narrowly avoided being killed by five separate air strikes,” according to the lawsuit  filed by UK-based human rights group Reprieve.

It's not so much a question of why these posturing yokels, Obama and Trump, don't respect America enough to do any better by it but what's your story, Mac?  Why do you put up with it?

Rather than risking exposure of the way America does business, they classify it and, here's the beauty part:  they say they do that to prevent a terrorist reaction based on the torture, etc.  (RT:  US court nixes publication of Guantanamo force-feeding video)

It's amazing how in a few short years America's reputation was reduced to that of being no more than barbaric savages and rightfully so.

Releasing the videos of Guantanamo Bay guards force-feeding an inmate during a hunger strike would endanger US troops and inspire terrorists, a federal appeals court has ruled. Media organizations have sought the footage as part of the public record.

That statement alone is priceless.  Only America could even consider releasing such hypocritical rubbish as a policy statement.

We can easily see the consequence of nationalism running out of control since it happened the last time as well.  Marine Le Pen has been getting the French all frothy about nationalism and at first it was coming out as outrages toward Muslims but now it's focusing on the more traditional target for nationalist abuse:  Jews.  (RT:  Vandals desecrate 80% Jewish graves at small French cemetery)

The same thing has been happening elsewhere and in America as well.  The first thing which comes from militarized nationalism is finding something to hate and such people always do.

Ed:  why?

Same as in America; they make money on it.
