"Crazy Chaos" - Whirli Placebo (video) | #secondlife artist

Whirli Placebo's music is not well-familiar to me but I'm listening to it now and already appreciate his imagination.  This goes an excellent distance toward expressing musical purity and what's a one-man magic show when it works.

This:

I hear near zero effects on the instruments but it's a looper holding it all together.   If you ask where is it, that's the art of it.  When use of the looper is obvious, it's not usually too good.

Whirli said he does not much use a looper in his current set but he's not throwing out such a things with a generic idea of 'devices are bullshit' or some such.  Always questioning, always progressing.

There's a lot of thinking with the SL Big Dawgs that music which isn't evolving doesn't matter anymore as the next day you're one step closer to a Golden Oldies station.  I've used Voodoo Shilton as an example on several occasions today as an artful loopist (?) and he is constantly rolling out new creations.  He never bakes three-chord wunderbread and his arrangements always fascinate.

Glenn Aitken is not a musician I know in SL but Whirli said he considers Aitken the SL Looper King.  That sets an obvious objective to learn more.
