The news regarding Congress is discouraging but there was other news from yesterday. The passport renewal fee had been processed so that confirms I had properly included all the bits necessary for the renewal or they would have bounced it back. There was also a letter delivered to Belly Buster to confirm the charge for the delivery so they've definitely got the address right.
That the fee was processed means the renewal is or was in motion. What it means today is anybody's guess. See the next article for my opinion on the incompetence of the U.S. Congress.
